In Danville, VA we stayed with Bianca who we had previously met in Taos, NM. She possesses a 3 story warehouse with infinite potential in the rundown section of Danville. She has so many ideas that it is actually burdensome to fully realize one from the current raw condition of the property. While we stayed there, we were able to help her clear out some of the storage items she had on the first floor, hopefully to allow for more creative energy to emerge into something beautiful. It’s kind of in it’s cocoon stage of growth which is incredibly inspiring and inspirational. There's so many options of what to do with this space and what it can become. Her current plan is to have the back converted into a condo while she develops the commercial space. She's thinking of starting with a coffee shop and working her way into a Co-Operative space.

We recently traveled to Chattanooga Tennessee and Greenville South Carolina, where both downtown areas have been transformed in the last decade. Not too long ago these areas were dangerous to enter. One local told me that they only used to enter downtown Greenville on a dare. Downtown Danville has been abandoned for years. Driving through it could be mistaken for a ghost town on a quiet day (Sunday). Currently the city is driving a campaign called "re-imagining danville".
